Hello! I’m Travis and I look forward to helping with issues that have been disturbing you and your loved ones. For some people it’s anxiety or depression affecting them in the here and now. For others it’s about something terrible that happened to them years ago and continues to interfere in their life today. It may also simply be a recent change at work, pressures at home, or trouble with loved ones. Whatever the reason is, I’m here for you. I work with you in a client centered manner to identify a goal that fits your needs and help you achieve that goal. I come from a background of using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and I enjoy using a specific flavor of it called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when it’s right for people. I generally work with adults and older teens, usually individually but sometimes involving family sessions when needed.
Understanding things like anxiety trauma as they present throughout the life span takes education and experience. I’ve been practicing therapy for over 10 years now. I have experience working with most age groups and I’ve worked with people who’ve been through a variety of challenges in life.
I’ve lived in Alaska for more than 20 years and I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. I love the windy days we get in the Mat-Su valley and the snow is so beautiful I forget how cold it gets… Sometimes. This is the place where I want to help other people enjoy life to its fullest.
Reaching out to get help with sensitive topics can be intimidating and I want to make it as easy as I can. It should only take a 15-minute phone call to see if I could be a good fit for you or a family member. I can also be reached by email if you feel more comfortable that way. Let me be the one to help you make the change you need!
